HR Coordinator – Job Description

Job Title: HR Officer
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.00 per hour

Summary:

The HR Officer will play a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission by managing the recruitment and onboarding of caregivers, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments. The HR Officer will serve as a key contact for candidates and employees, fostering a professional and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records.
  • Update internal employee databases with timely and accurate information.
  • Prepare HR documents, including new hire guides and onboarding paperwork.
  • Conduct interviews with potential caregivers.
  • Initiate and manage the caregiver recruiting and hiring process, including:
  • Processing applications.
  • Conducting background screenings and child-line clearances.
  • Verifying references.
  • Coordinating testing and interviewing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal hiring procedures, including:
  • Scheduling office training.
  • Communicating with House Managers and Program Specialists.
  • Coordinating in-house training and onboarding for residential group homes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with HR software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and in-person).
  • Experience with running background checks, child-line clearances, exclusions, and reference validation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
