Summary:

The HR Coordinator provides great service to both Trident applicants and employees. This position supports Trident’s HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition with the administration of the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Sr HR Operations Manager, and a key partner of the HR Operations Team, a successful candidate will be an approachable, trusted member of the department.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • Provides excellent customer service as the first point of contact for callers and in-person visitors to the HR department.
  • Provides information via telephone, email, and in-person about job opportunities, application status, company facilities, and work environment to active and potential applicants.
  • Supports the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, collecting feedback from interview loops, and managing communications between the hiring team and candidates.
  • Coordinates and supports pre- and post-employment processes, including managing documentation in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), pre-employment screening systems and requirements, DOT and non-DOT drug screening, unemployment verification, I-9 management, medical questionnaires, etc.
  • Assists with filing, record management, data integrity, and other HR and HRIS administrative duties. Prepares, organizes, and indexes files to be scanned into an online data storage system.
  • Participates in contract signing days by assisting employees with questions, providing directions when needed, onboarding, making copies, etc.
  • Supports onboarding of seasonal and nonseasonal activities.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
  • A minimum of two years of experience in human resources, recruiting, customer service, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience managing schedules and calendars in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred education and experience

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A self-starter with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Experience working in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

This job takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and has moderate noise.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods and often sit at a desk in an office environment.
