HR Director

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year

A skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead and oversee all human resources functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working closely with facility leadership, supporting employees, and helping build a strong workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives
• Manage employee relations and serve as a resource for staff and management
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Administer benefits, leave management, and company policies
• Assist department leaders with performance management and disciplinary processes
• Coordinate employee orientation and training programs
• Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee concerns
• Support payroll and personnel reporting processes
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous HR leadership experience required
• Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, or healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and employee relations
• Experience with recruitment and staff retention strategies
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

• $65,000 – $75,000 per year
