Recruitment & Staffing Manage end-to-end hiring for production, quality control, tagging/labeling, packaging etc.
- Prepare job descriptions, publish ads, screen applications, schedule interviews, conduct initial interviews.
- Coordinate skill/technical assessments (if required).
- Maintain candidate database.Onboarding & Induction Prepare induction programs for new employees.
- Ensure completion of documentation (contracts, labor compliance, medicals, etc.).
- Introduce company policies, safety rules (especially factory safety), quality standards.Training & Development
Identify training needs (factory floor, machine handling, safety, soft skills). Handle grievances, disciplinary issues. Coordinate with payroll for timely, accurate salary processing. Maintain HR records (employee files, leave, attendance, training).
- Coordinate internal/external trainings.
- Maintain training records, feedback, and evaluate effectiveness.Performance Management Assist in setting up KPIs and performance evaluation cycles.
- Track performance reviews, counseling for under-performers.
- Work with managers to have corrective actions/training plans.Employee Relations
- Foster positive working relationships.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback.Attendance, Leave & Shift Management Monitor attendance, shifts and leave compliance.
- Resolve shift-roster conflicts.
- Ensure overtime calculations are correct.Payroll & Benefits Coordination
- Manage statutory compliance – PF, ESI, minimum wages, overtime, etc.
- Administer employee benefits and other entitlements.HR Policies & Compliance Ensure compliance with labor laws and factory regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date HR policies and communicate them.
- Ensure safety certifications, permits, audits are maintained.HR Data & Reporting
- Prepare regular reports for management (turnover, absenteeism, productivity impact of HR activities).Culture & Employee Engagement Help run company events or initiatives to boost morale.
- Implement HI initiatives (suggestion box, reward & recognition).
- Monitor job satisfaction.
Preferred / Nice To Have
- Knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO).
- Experience with shift-based workforce.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
- Certification in HR or labor law.
