Position Summary
The HR Executive – Recruiter will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities for the DRI plant, including hiring for technical, operational, and support roles. The role requires understanding plant operations, coordinating with department heads, and ensuring timely closure of manpower requirements.
Key Responsibilities. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Handle end-to-end recruitment cycle (sourcing to onboarding).
- Hire for technical roles such as:
- Kiln Operator
- Electrical Engineer
- Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Shift In-charge
- Fitter, Welder, Technician
- Safety Officer
- Quality Control Engineer
- Source candidates through job portals, consultancies, references, and campus drives.
- Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate technical interviews with plant heads.
- Maintain recruitment tracker and MIS reports.
- Ensure timely joining and documentation of selected candidates.
2. Manpower Planning
- Coordinate with plant managers for manpower planning.
- Maintain workforce database and attrition reports.
- Forecast hiring needs based on production targets.
3. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure statutory compliance during hiring (PF, ESIC, labor laws).
- Maintain employee records and recruitment documentation.
- Support contract labor compliance as per factory norms.
4. Employer Branding & Vendor Management
- Liaise with recruitment agencies and consultants.
- Participate in local job fairs and industrial training institute (ITI) hiring.
- Build talent pipeline for future plant expansion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
- 2–5 years of recruitment experience (preferably in steel/DRI/manufacturing industry).
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of plant operations and technical roles.
- Knowledge of labor laws and factory compliance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS systems.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in steel plant / sponge iron / power plant recruitment.
- Experience hiring blue-collar and technical workforce.
- Familiarity with statutory norms related to manufacturing units.
