Position Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy development. This role ensures that HR processes align with organizational goals while promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Coordinate recruiting including job postings, screening, interviews, and offers. Manage onboarding process for new hires.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution. Assist in developing initiatives to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

HR Administration & Compliance

Maintain employee records in HRIS systems and ensure data accuracy. We partner with PayCom. Support compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, and wage & hour regulations. Assist with audits, reporting, and policy implementation.

Performance Management & Training

Support managers in administering performance reviews and feedback processes. Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.

Compensation & Benefits

Administer employee benefit programs and serve as a resource for employee questions. Assist with open enrollment and benefits communication.

Other Duties

Partner with leadership on special HR projects and initiatives. Continuously improve HR processes to support company growth and employee success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity, in lieu of education.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Proficiency with HRIS systems like ADP and PayCom and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
