The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Company’s human resources functions and ensuring a positive employee experience across three company-operated warehouse locations, including the Durango corporate office. This position serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. The HR Generalist is responsible for managing and supporting a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment support, onboarding, benefits administration, leave tracking, compliance, and training coordination. This position plays a key part in supporting a positive employee experience while serving as an ambassador of the Coca-Cola culture.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, solution-oriented, and committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, fairness, and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries across all locations
  • Coordinate and support onboarding, including orientation, system access, uniforms, and equipment
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and required reports
  • Administer leave programs, including Vacation, Sick Time, Colorado FAMLI, and FMLA
  • Support benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), COBRA, gym reimbursement)
  • Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and offer coordination
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS (Paycom), ensuring accurate data entry and reporting
  • Coordinate training programs and track compliance using the Learning Management System
  • Manage background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and pre-employment physicals
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claims, OSHA recordkeeping, and safety documentation
  • Collaborate with the safety committee and attend monthly meetings
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of HR experience preferred
  • Degree or HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus, but not required
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS or ATS preferred (Paycom experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail an ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Approachable, adaptable, and receptive to change

Schedule and Work Environment:

  • Part-time, in-office, Monday - Friday (however, additional or alternative days/times may be occasionally needed, depending on customer and/or promotional campaigns
  • Team-based environment with a focus on engagement and safety
