HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition Specialist

The HRG/TAS role will provide both strategic and tactical HR support of strategies, processes and policies that result in a highly engaged workforce and a sustainable clinical talent pipeline. Key to this role is the ability to provide timely, accurate, friendly and professional service in a way that furthers the community of NCAP. The HRG/TAS role will work closely with the HR Director, Executive Team, and company leadership to develop and administrate effective programs and processes that result in strong recruitment and retention at NCAP. This role will perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leave of absence, recognition, and training. They will maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR generalist with deep experience in developing staffing strategies and full life cycle recruiting, ideally in a healthcare environment.
HR Generalist Essential functions and expectations:
  • First point of contact for employees on all HR matters. Proactively engaging employees, responding to requests for information, acting as a resource to employees, scheduling employee meetings; developing employee communication material.
  • Provides human resources guidelines and aligns human resource solutions to meet current and long-term business requirements.
  • Partners with management to communicate and implement various Human Resources policies, procedures, standards, and government laws/regulations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Liaise with payroll specialist to guarantee smooth salary payments.
  • Providing support to employees regarding benefit questions, participating in open enrollment, participating in benefit reviews and market surveys, and working with benefit vendors.
  • In collaboration with the HR Director work on improving HR process and workflow development in areas of Benefits, Compensation, Leave Management, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development.
  • In collaboration with the Corporate Administrative Assistant, coordinate and facilitate special corporate wide events management (Annual picnic, holiday events, etc.).
  • Developing information for and managing the HR intranet page (SharePoint)
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports (e.g. turnover, training, recognition, etc.) for management.
TAS Essential functions and expectations:
  • End to end management of the Talent Acquisition process, including strategy, program, and process development. The goal of which is to meet annual hiring targets of qualified CRNAs and physician anesthesiologists.
  • With the HRD, develop and maintain candidate recruiting materials and all related items that promote the NCAP brand.
  • Improve both physician and CRNA candidate supply by determining the best recruiting channels, i.e. job boards, social media, school recruiting platforms, external recruiters, NCAP’s website.
  • Develop and administer outreach campaigns to target passive candidates.
  • Develop and administer programs to encourage and foster employee referrals.
  • In coordination with NCAP CRNA leaders and Recruiting teams, develop relationships with program leadership at CRNA schools to foster strong relationships and promote NCAP as a preferred place of work. Periodically make outreach visits to school programs.
  • Develop in conjunction with clinical and executive leadership the annual conference attendance schedule and liaise with recruiting team members.
  • Schedule telephone and onsite interviews for all open positions. Coordinate the logistics and manage the activities for onsite candidate visits. Ensure a positive candidate experience that reflects the company culture.
  • Fully utilize the Paycor Recruiting tool for candidate pipeline, communications and reporting.
  • Gather and regularly report out on detailed metrics to measure performance and optimize recruitment efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related area preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ human resources and direct talent acquisition experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Results driven with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech savvy. Knowledge of and experience with human resources information systems, preferably Paycor, and other applications used (e.g., ATS, job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.).
  • Knowledge of a broad range of HR strategies and practices for recruitment and retention.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits systems and the ability to fully explain NCAP’s compensation, and benefit programs.
  • Self-starter, problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset, detail orientation.
  • Project management skill and ability.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work and successfully communicate at all levels. Ability to engage candidates and promote the benefits of employment with NCAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience analyzing data to guide strategic planning.
  • Judgment and discretion in the handling of sensitive and/or confidential information.
