About the Company
Weastec, Inc. was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of Toyodenso Co. Ltd., a global leader electrical switches, electronics and sensors. Weastec supplies these products to the North American Automotive, Powersports and Power Equipment markets.
The Hillsboro headquarters, a production facility in scenic southwestern Ohio, is conveniently located to deliver product directly to major OEMs such as Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen. Weastec prides itself on superior quality and world-class supply chain management, both of which are managed from the Hillsboro facility.
In 2005, the Weastec Technical Center was established in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Dublin. The technical center is responsible for design, development and testing of new products and is the customer liaison throughout the new product creation cycle.
In 2022, Weastec reopened the Greenfield operations facility and began the introduction of automated assembly lines. This location also serves as additional warehouse space for the Hillsboro headquarters.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for the completion of payroll for all temporary and full time associates on a weekly basis. This role also serves as a benefit contact for associates for general benefit administration and questions including the requirements of the wellness program.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly review of associate time cards and adjustments are made as needed. Reports are complied and sent to each temporary agency to ensure completion of temporary payroll by the agency. Full-time payroll is completed in house by utilizing the current HRIS system. Any changes to payroll for the week are documented and saved in order to maintain accuracy for the weekly payroll.
- Review of plan document. Responding to questions from associates. Contact with TPA in order to address other questions or concerns. Review of benefit accuracy for payroll. Includes all core benefits as well as any ancillary benefits. Review of ancillary benefit statements (monthly). Required to coordinate and facilitate open enrollment annually for associates.
- Review of wellness program guidelines, Q&A from associates, review of platform & training required for participation.
- Completion of weekly payroll reports that are posted and shared with members of management. Distribute required reports to temporary agencies on a weekly basis.
- Monthly reporting includes calculating metrics for HR, insurance premium reporting, and insurance waiver reports for accounting department.
- On-boarding temporary associates, which consists of establishing them in HRIS system, reports, and creating an associate profile for them. Temporary orientation is completed on the associates date of hire and is completed in conjunction with required safety training.
- Ordering and coordinating Weastec events such as holiday gatherings, company meals, service award celebrations, wellness activities, and summer outings.
- Complete benefit orientation with all full-time new hires. Explain wellness program and set individual up with account to begin wellness requirements. Ensure all benefit elections are transferred accurately to payroll.
- Manage uniform services at all Weastec facilities. Fit associates, including temps, who are eligible for uniforms, track orders and ensure that they are received. Order replacements as needed or alterations to uniforms for repair or size change. Review of invoices weekly to make sure we are properly charged for uniforms. Return uniforms for terminations and ensure uniforms are returned to Weastec by the temporary agencies.
