Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-driven HR Generalist who embodies our core values of HEART, ADVOCACY, and POSITIVE IMPACT. This role is essential in supporting our caregiving team through consistent human resources support and accurate, timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will not only ensure compliance and efficiency but will help foster a culture where employees feel valued, heard, and supported.
Core Responsibilities:
Payroll
· Verify and prepare weeklypayroll for all employees with precision and integrity
· Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and manage year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s)
- Monitor and report on PTO, sick leave, and other paid time off
- Process VA billing and payment accurately and in compliance with regulations
- Handle garnishments, subpoenas, and related legal documentation with timeliness and confidentiality
- Manage unemployment claims, including submitting required responses and supporting documentation
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for payroll questions, advocating for clarity and fairness
Human Resources
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including recruiting, onboarding, retention, and offboarding
- Ensure employee compliance with required credentials
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant employee records
- Ensure company policies and procedures reflect current employment law and best practices
- Support employee relations by responding to questions, resolving concerns, and fostering a respectful and supportive workplace culture
- Assist with benefits administration
- Partner with leadership to support training, development, and engagement initiatives

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 1 year of payroll processing
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ACA, etc.)
- Experience with payroll systems such as Paylocity, Bamboo HR, etc.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to solving problems
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred:
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or CPP certification
- Experience with multi-state payroll
- Healthcare or home care industry experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
