Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking an experienced
HR Generalist/Recruiter in our Columbus, Ohio location. This is a dual-role position responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations and leading recruitment efforts across the organization. This role supports a broad range of HR responsibilities including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and talent acquisition as well as projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized professional who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Generalist Functions
- Administers HR policies/procedures and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Supports employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Serves as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters and recommends appropriate actions in response to performance and conduct issues.
- Maintains records and generates reports as needed.
- Coordinates training sessions and support organizational development initiatives.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for exempt personnel, including marketing, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and hiring of salaried personnel.
- Partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, collaborate on requirements, develop sourcing strategies.
- Manages candidate communications and ensures a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintains and optimizes the applicant tracking system (ATS) including the generation of status reports.
- Supports evolution of internship program and helps to build a talent pipeline.
- Strengthens employer branding and recruitment/marketing initiatives, especially in the digital space.
