HR manager recruits, hires, and onboards staff, develops and implements HR policies, manages payroll and benefits, ensures compliance with labor laws, handles employee relations, conducts performance evaluations, and fosters a positive work environment. They also oversee training and development programs, monitor employee attendance, and provide HR data and support to restaurant management. Core Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Hiring: Develop hiring plans, advertise openings, screen and interview candidates, and prepare job offers and employment contracts.
- Onboarding & Training: Plan and conduct onboarding sessions, manage initial training programs, and provide continuous learning opportunities for all employees.
- Payroll & Benefits: Calculate and process payroll, manage employee attendance and schedules, and administer compensation and benefits packages to support retention.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a liaison between management and employees, mediate conflicts, and handle grievances and disciplinary issues.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local and national labor laws and regulations.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal system, conduct evaluations, and help employees set and achieve professional goals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files, contracts, and work permits.
- Workplace Environment: Foster a positive and productive work environment, support diversity and inclusion initiatives, and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior HR position, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices, especially those related to flexible working hours.
- Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and negotiation skills to build relationships at all levels.
- People-oriented and results-driven approach to support business needs.
- Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and HR metrics.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
