Location: Primary Office in Maadi, Cairo
Company: Kompass Education
Employment Type: Full-time
About Us
Kompass Education is Egypt’s leading progressive, trilingual learning community. Operating in both Maadi and Somabay, we provide a "home away from home" for students aged 1 to 14. Our philosophy—"Best Me for a Better World"—is rooted in child-centered, inquiry-based learning in English, German, and Arabic. We are a community of researchers, explorers, and passionate educators dedicated to nurturing the unique potential of every child.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic HR Manager to oversee our growing team across both campuses. You will be responsible for maintaining the "Kompass Spirit" in two distinct locations, ensuring that our high standards for recruitment, employee wellbeing, and legal compliance are met consistently. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys a mix of strategic planning and hands-on community building.
Key Responsibilities
- Dual-Campus Management: Oversee HR operations for both the Maadi and Somabay branches, ensuring unified policies while respecting the unique local needs of each site.
- International Recruitment: Source and onboard native speakers (English and German) and high-caliber local talent who align with our progressive educational values.
- Culture Advocacy: Promote our core values—Passion, Proactivity, Responsibility, Authenticity, and Acceptance—among all staff members.
- Legal & Personnel: Manage work permits for expats, social insurance, and employment contracts in strict accordance with Egyptian Labor Law.
- Staff Wellbeing: Develop initiatives that support the mental and professional health of our educators.
- Performance Development: Lead a "Journey Book" style appraisal system for staff that mirrors the reflective and growth-oriented documentation we use for our students.
Requirements
- Language: Fluent, professional English is a must. (German is a significant advantage).
- Experience: 5+ years in HR Management. Experience in an international school or a hospitality/education multi-site environment is highly preferred.
- Vision: A deep belief in progressive, non-traditional education. You should be someone who values "individuals over systems."
- Skills: Expertise in Egyptian Labor Law, organizational development, and intercultural communication.
Why Kompass?
- Innovation: Work for the first progressive education provider in Egypt.
- Environment: From Maadi to the marina in Somabay, our workplaces are designed to be inspiring and full of light.
- Impact: Play a critical role in a school that is shaping the future "global citizens" of Egypt.
- Benefits: Competitive salary, nutritious in-house meals, and a supportive, family-like work environment.
