Summary:
The HR Manager serves as the primary human resources leader for the Anacortes plant, partnering closely with plant leadership to support safe, compliant, and highperforming operations. This role is responsible for delivering endtoend HR support across employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, compliance, and engagement, with a strong focus on execution in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
The HR Manager balances strategic partnership with handson execution, ensuring HR policies and practices are applied consistently while addressing the unique needs of a dynamic, seasonal workforce.
Essential Functions: (Responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs)
Serve as a trusted business partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, providing HR guidance aligned with operational priorities and workforce needs
Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
Support talent management processes including hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, succession planning, and development of frontline leaders
Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, coaching, performance improvement plans, and yearend reviews
Ensure accurate timekeeping, attendance tracking, and leave administration in compliance with all applicable labor and employment laws, and company policies.
Partner with operations to determine workforce needs based on production demands.
Manage employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and communications to support morale and workforce stability
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and HR Operations partners to ensure efficient recruitment, compensation, and HR systems (e.g., Dayforce, Anaplan as applicable)
Utilize workforce and people data to inform decisionmaking and support datadriven discussions with plant and HR leadership
Participate in change management efforts related to business transformations, policy changes, or organizational shifts
This is a salaried nonexempt position with a range of $82,000 to $115,000 per year.

Required Qualifications: (Education, Years of Experience, Certifications)
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing, industrial, or operationsbased environments
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education & Experiences:
HR management experience in a plant or manufacturing environment
Experience supporting seasonal or highvolume workforces
Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRMCP, or SHRMSCP)
Experience working across multiple HR disciplines (employee relations, talent, total rewards, compliance)
Familiarity with HRIS and workforce planning tools (e.g., Dayforce)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Demonstrated experience handling employee relations, performance management, and compliance matters independently
Experience partnering with operational leaders in fastpaced, productiondriven settings
Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain HR concepts clearly to nonHR leaders and employees
High level of organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Datadriven mindset, with the ability to interpret HR metrics and use insights to inform decisions
Demonstrated ability to operate with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Comfort working both strategically and handson, including regular time spent in operational environments
Work environment:
This role is based on site at the Anacortes manufacturing plant and requires regular presence across both office and production floor environments.
