HR Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

Belles Lighting, a fast-growing retailer of premium home lighting solutions with both a showroom and online presence, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support our expanding team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for an HR professional with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to contribute to the growth of a small-to-mid-sized company.

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing core HR functions, supporting business objectives, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required, as the role involves frequent communication with overseas vendors and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and offboarding
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and compliance requirements
  • Oversee employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes
  • Administer payroll, benefits, PTO, and leave management in coordination with leadership and accounting
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with labor and employment regulations
  • Partner with management to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning
  • Coordinate staff development, training, and team-building initiatives
  • Serve as a bridge for communication with Mandarin-speaking vendors and business partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification preferred)
  • 3–5 years of HR management or generalist experience, preferably in a small-to-mid-sized business or retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment and manage multiple priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
