About Us:
We are an established logistics enterprise partnering with FedEx Ground, operating a fleet of over 40 vehicles across Northern Minnesota. Due to recent company expansion, we have developed new specialized roles within our management structure. We are currently seeking an administrative professional to fill this newly created position and oversee our personnel operations, scheduling, and driver recruitment.
Position Summary:
Operating out of our dedicated office in Virginia, MN, the HR Manager & Master Scheduler will take complete ownership of our personnel operations, driver recruiting pipeline, and compliance tracking. Your primary mission is to solve our scheduling communication gaps, eliminate unnecessary overtime by transitioning our team to optimized 4-day workweeks, and maintain a constant "bench" of vetted drivers. This is a highly organized, administrative role that serves as the backbone of our workforce stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master Scheduling & Over-Communication (Primary Focus): Architect and manage the master company schedule for 40+ employees utilizing GroundCloud and other designated scheduling software. Drive the company’s transition to overlapping 4-day workweeks (10-12 hour shifts) to maximize fleet utilization. You will own all scheduling communication, ensuring any and all roster changes are systematically and proactively communicated to drivers well in advance.
- High-Volume Recruiting: Manage continuous job postings and candidate pipelines directly through Indeed.com, screen applicants, and conduct initial phone interviews to maintain a deep talent pool across both our northern and southern regions.
- FedEx Compliance & Onboarding: Navigate the official FedEx website portal and First Advantage to manage the strict digital compliance pipeline (background checks, drug screening, DOT medical cards, and driver profiles) to get new hires approved with zero delays.
- Strategic Terminal Touchpoints: Utilize the quiet relay station office Monday through Thursday for heavy administrative focus. Spend Fridays at the main terminal (an hour south) to conduct face-to-face interviews, coordinate mandatory truck road tests, and physically check in with our terminal-based drivers.
- Personnel Admin Support: Assist owners with workers' comp tracking, driver documentation, and timecard preparation to streamline our weekly payroll.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in HR, Recruiting, or Logistics Coordination (experience managing blue-collar, transportation, or route-based teams is a massive plus).
- Elite organizational skills and a natural habit of over-communicating.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on comfort or rapid adaptability with Indeed.com, First Advantage, GroundCloud, and corporate FedEx portals.
- Ability to solve logical puzzles (balancing route requirements against driver schedule preferences).
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

- Dental insurance
