Job Purpose
The HR Officer is responsible for supporting core HR operations with a focus on business travel coordination, attendance and leave management, and employee health insurance administration. Reporting to the HR Team Leader, the role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate HR records, compliance with internal policies, and timely data flow for payroll and reporting. The HR Officer also provides first-level HR support to employees and contributes to administrative efficiency across the HR function.
Duties And Responsibilities
Business Travel Coordination

Plan and manage domestic and international business travel arrangements including flights, hotels, visas, and ground transport.

Ensure all travel activities comply with company policies and approved budgets.

Liaise with travel agencies, logistics vendors, and internal stakeholders to confirm bookings and manage travel requests.

Process travel approvals, reimbursement forms, and track trip-related expenses.

Support employees during travel emergencies or last-minute changes.
Attendance and Leave Administration

Monitor and maintain attendance records, absenteeism, and overtime using the HRIS and attendance systems.

Track and validate time-off requests, sick leaves, and business leave to ensure alignment with policy.

Generate regular reports on attendance trends, violations, and flag issues to the HR Team Leader.

Ensure timely submission of validated attendance data to payroll.

Support disciplinary or advisory actions related to attendance irregularities.
Employee Health Insurance Support

Administer medical insurance enrollments and removals for employees and dependents.

Coordinate with the insurance provider and internal stakeholders to resolve coverage or claim issues.

Maintain accurate records of active beneficiaries and ensure updates are reflected in HR systems.
HR Operational Support

Respond to employee inquiries related to travel, attendance, and health benefits.

Support the HR Team Leader in reviewing and updating relevant HR procedures and guidelines.

Participate in internal HR audits, reviews, or compliance checks related to travel and time management.

Maintain confidentiality of employee data and uphold data protection standards.

Contribute to HR projects and operational improvements as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on travel management and attendance tracking.
