HR Onboarding Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join our HR team! As an Onboarding Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for new employees while fostering a strong, collaborative relationship with existing employees.

Responsibilities:
1. Enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

2. Support all aspects of human resources to include: recruiting, training, employee relations, policy, benefits administration, terminations, employee file management.

3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations as they relate to human resource function.

4. Sign, send and coordinate paperwork between schools and employees for school clearance.

5. Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.

6. Protect sensitive information of employees and comply with HIPAA laws.

7. Establish a strong collaborative relationship between company and employees.

8. Prepares employees for assignments by leading them through the hiring process.

9. Help answer any calls, emails or questions about HR.

10. Perform job in compliance with agency policies and procedures while maintaining professional standards.

11. Communicate necessary information to appropriate departments to ensure coordination of services and activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, training, or experience preferred- HR or healthcare background is a plus.
  • Ability to create, maintain and organize data on a variety of spreadsheets.
  • Experience working in a midsize company environment, with an understanding of the dynamic needs and evolving structure of a growing organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Speak, read, write and comprehend English. Being bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Able to manage a high volume of phone calls while maintaining a warm, courteous, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills.
  • A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude—someone who takes initiative, solves problems, and contributes to a supportive team culture.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
