The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager / People Leader to lead all people-related functions across a large, hourly workforce. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has spent years working in environments with shift-based employees and understands the realities of frontline operations.

This role is responsible for HR execution, employee relations, compliance, and operational support — not just policy writing. You will work closely with senior leadership and operations management to ensure the business is staffed, compliant, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all HR and people operations across a shift-based workforce
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and retention for frontline and supervisory staff
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, performance issues, and workplace concerns
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage and hour rules, and company policies
  • Manage documentation, employee files, acknowledgements, and internal processes
  • Partner with operations leadership to support staffing plans and coverage needs
  • Support payroll and benefits coordination (in partnership with Payroll Specialist)
  • Help shape culture, accountability, and leadership expectations across teams

What We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or workforce management
  • Background working with hourly, shift-based, or service-industry employees
  • Strong judgment and calm demeanor when handling employee issues
  • Practical understanding of employment law and compliance
  • Ability to balance empathy with accountability
  • Comfortable being onsite and visible to the workforce
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
