Role Overview

The HR Operations Partner plays a critical role in supporting our Crescent City creamery. This position is responsible for driving HR initiatives that strengthen team member engagement, ensuring compliance with California employment law, and aligning people strategies with business goals. Acting as a trusted advisor to plant leadership, the HR Operations Partner helps foster a workplace where team members feel valued, supported, and motivated to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Member Relations & Consultation: Provide guidance to leaders and team members on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Lead investigations and ensure fair, consistent outcomes.
  • Performance Management: Support the review cycle, coach leaders on feedback delivery, and manage exit interviews to capture insights for improvement.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Partner with the Talent Acquisition HR Center of Excellence and hiring managers to recruit top talent, participate in interviews, and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.
  • Training & Development: Support career growth conversations, reinforce learning initiatives, and promote skill-building opportunities across the facility.
  • Compensation & Benefits Communication: Help team members understand Sartori’s total rewards package, including pay, health benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Change & Project Management: Lead HR-related projects, support organizational changes, and ensure clear communication throughout transitions.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California and federal employment laws, mitigate risks, and respond to audits or claims.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, leverage data analytics, and recommend solutions that enhance team member engagement and retention.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field (or willingness to complete degree).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with strong expertise in employee relations and California employment law.
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR strategy with business objectives.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Compensation Information:

A competitive wage range of $88,000 – $132,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
