We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven HR Payroll Accountant with a Recruitment Company background who can handle high-volume payroll operations while ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations. This role combines payroll accounting, HR coordination, and compliance. You will be responsible for managing payroll for a large outsourced workforce while supporting financial reporting and HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll for employees and outsourced staff accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records, including salaries, benefits, deductions, and leave balances
- Ensure compliance with UAE Labor Law, WPS (Wage Protection System), and company policies
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Handle employee queries related to salaries, leave, and end-of-service benefits
- Coordinate with HR for employee data updates (new hires, terminations, changes)
- Manage gratuity calculations and final settlements
- Assist in audits and provide required payroll documentation
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of payroll records
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources
- 3–6 years of experience in payroll + accounting
- Experience in recruitment / outsourcing / manpower companies (highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UAE Labor Law and WPS
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling large workforce payroll
- Knowledge of end-of-service benefits and UAE compliance regulations
- CPA / ACCA (partially or fully qualified) is an advantage
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
