HR, Payroll & Safety Manager

Claverack Well & Pump is seeking a reliable and experienced HR, Payroll & Safety Manager to join our growing team. This key role helps keep our operations running smoothly by supporting employees, ensuring accurate payroll, and maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and recordkeeping
• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Oversee benefits administration and ensure compliance with labor laws
• Maintain and enforce workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance
• Conduct safety training and manage safety documentation
• Handle workers’ compensation claims and incident reporting
• Develop, implement, and update company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in HR, payroll, safety management, or a related field preferred
• QuickBooks experience a must
• Reports directly to the Owner and Operations Manager
• Experience in construction, service, or trade industries preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of labor laws and workplace safety regulations
• Payroll software experience preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• Prevailing wage experience required
