HR, Payroll & Safety Manager
Claverack Well & Pump is seeking a reliable and experienced HR, Payroll & Safety Manager to join our growing team. This key role helps keep our operations running smoothly by supporting employees, ensuring accurate payroll, and maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and recordkeeping
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Oversee benefits administration and ensure compliance with labor laws
- Maintain and enforce workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance
- Conduct safety training and manage safety documentation
- Handle workers’ compensation claims and incident reporting
- Develop, implement, and update company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in HR, payroll, safety management, or a related field preferred
- QuickBooks experience a must
- Reports directly to the Owner and Operations Manager
- Experience in construction, service, or trade industries preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of labor laws and workplace safety regulations
- Payroll software experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Prevailing wage experience required
