Position Summary: The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in various functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This role ensures HR processes are executed efficiently and in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Staffing:
    • Assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
    • Coordinate job postings and maintain applicant tracking systems.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
    • Prepare new hire paperwork and facilitate orientation sessions.
    • Manage exit processes, including final documentation and equipment return.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Support enrollment and changes in health, life, and voluntary benefits.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies.
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
    • Assist in resolving employee concerns and escalating issues as needed.
  • Payroll Support:
    • Verify timekeeping data and assist with payroll processing.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3+ years in HR or related role preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
