HR Specialist / HR Generalist

Sunny Dumpling House is a growing Chinese restaurant group in Southern California with multiple locations. We are focused on building a professional management structure and a strong team culture as we continue to expand.

We are currently looking for an HR Specialist or HR Generalist, depending on experience, to support our growing team.

Position Overview

The HR Specialist / HR Generalist will support daily HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and HR compliance. Candidates with stronger experience may take on broader HR Generalist responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and job postings
• Coordinate interviews and candidate communication
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Support payroll coordination and timekeeping review
• Assist with HR policy implementation
• Help ensure compliance with California labor laws
• Support employee relations and internal communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1–5 years of HR experience preferred
• Experience in recruiting, onboarding, or HR administration
• Familiar with basic HR practices and employment regulations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Bilingual English/Chinese required
• Experience in restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus

Compensation

Title and compensation will be determined based on experience.

Estimated compensation range:

• HR Specialist: $25–$28 per hour
• HR Generalist: $28–$30 per hour
