The Houston Manufacturing Team is seeking an HR Specialist / HR Business Partner to provide on-site HR support and partnership for local operations. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing key people initiatives, including planning, scheduling, and communicating talent development programs, while serving as a primary point of contact for HR related needs for Manufacturing employees and leaders.
This position will partner closely with site leadership to support employee relations, talent processes, workforce planning, and engagement efforts. The role also contributes to driving consistency in HR practices, supporting compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall employee experience.
The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of HR experience, with a strong foundation in core HR disciplines and a desire to grow into a broader business partner role. They demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Under general supervision, supports the effective operation and improvement of one or more HR processes.
• Collaborates with stakeholders, creates tools and resources, and executes basic programs and projects.
• Develops subject matter expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Compensation, Benefits, International HR/Global Mobility, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, HR Information Systems, or HR Operations.
• Supports the efficient delivery of processes, programs and policies through the application of specialized knowledge and skills, analysis, and business acumen.
• Assists with HR data reporting and analysis used to determine meaningful recommendations and actions to improve overall HR service delivery.
• May advise HR and business leaders across the organization on best practices.
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including HR Specialist I, HR Specialist II, or HR Business Parter I.
