Role:

APV is seeking an experienced Payroll and Processing Specialist for our DHS client.

Duties:

  • Processing and reviewing all Federal personnel and payroll actions (including, but not limited to competitive and non-competitive hire actions, position changes, pay changes, federal & state tax forms, garnishments, direct deposits, separations, lump-sum leave payout, quick service pay requests, performance ratings, etc.) using (empowHR, FHR Navigator, RUMBA, e-verify, webTA, and eOPF) and the National Finance Center’s Personnel/Payroll System.
  • Identifying and timely resolving routine, complex, and sensitive personnel/payroll processing issues.
  • Using a variety of communication methods (e.g., written, verbal), provide comprehensive and timely responses to customers involving a variety of personnel and pay issues
  • Ability to work independently at a journeyman level.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related discipline


Required Skills:

· 3-7 years’ supporting a federal agency providing knowledge of personnel and payroll actions
