HR Talent Acquisition Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Design, implement, and execute a recruiting strategy to source, interview and hire qualified candidates for open positions. Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, recruiting agencies, schools, advertisers, and other sources to build relationships that assist in building our team. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with the day to day operations of the Human Resource Department functions and duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, implement, and execute a recruiting strategy
  • Prepare recruitment materials and job postings on a variety of media platforms (web, paper, radio)
  • Source and recruit candidates using various sources including databases, social media, etc.
  • Screen candidate resumes and job applications
  • Coordinate and communicate interview schedules with candidates, hiring managers, and Human Resources
  • Conduct interviews using reliable recruiting tools and methods to filter candidates
  • Monitor and apply HR / Recruiting best practices
  • Build ongoing relationships with appropriate recruiting agencies, high school and colleges, and other sources that assist in successful sourcing of candidates
  • Build programs to encourage and engage potential candidates (job shadowing, internships, Youth Skills Training Program)
  • Other duties as assigned by Human Resource Team Leader

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a back up to process payroll & perform related duties regarding team members’ time & attendance /recordkeeping in payroll system – ADP
  • Assist in maintaining team members’ files in a timely fashion
  • Back up to phone center and receptionist

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of successful recruiting strategies and use of technology
  • Ability to prioritize projects and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to be organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office software and general computer skills.
  • Ability to adhere to company’s confidentiality policy regarding company & team member private data.
  • Knowledgeable of basic office equipment; i.e. copy machine, fax machine, phone systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • Certificate or license from vocational or trade school recommended.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a Recruiting / Human Resources Role.

Daily Work Expectations: Extensive computer work and interaction with team leaders, team members and public. Required to work independently.

Work Environment/Conditions: Active office environment involving many interruptions daily. Environment may become stressful at times. Most of work will be done at an office desk. Much of the job will require team member to sit and use hands and fingers for input on keyboard.

Required Work Hours: Primarily a 40 hour work week. Scheduled work hours can vary based on the seasonality of Bayer Built Woodworks, Inc.
