DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington, DC area, with offices in multiple cities, including Atlanta, that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. As a ground floor member of an exciting new company all associates will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. An appreciation for the pros and cons of start up culture is a must.

Our goal is to deliver superior customer service, respect, expertise and responsiveness to our customers. As stewards of our company, you will be responsible for awarding every customer with a positive rental experience.

Position Summary: We’re seeking an adaptable, detail-oriented HR & Talent Coordinator to join our growing parent company. This is a unique opportunity to be the first addition to our HR team and support employees across four sister companies. You’ll be hands-on with payroll, recruiting, and HR operations, ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience while building scalable processes alongside the Head of HR.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following) :

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Administer payroll accurately and on time in partnership with finance/payroll vendors.
  • Maintain employee data in HRIS and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Support benefits administration and respond to employee HR questions.

Recruiting & Talent Support

  • Post job openings, review applicants, and conduct initial resume screens.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and manage candidate communications.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and professional hiring process.

Employee Experience

  • Respond to day-to-day HR inquiries from employees.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires (offer letters, background checks, I-9s, etc.).
  • Help design and improve HR processes as the company scales.

Qualifications Required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, recruiting coordination, or payroll administration.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll software).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment where priorities shift.

Work Environment

Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.

Salary: $48,000 - $60,000; depending on experience
