Position Overview

The HR / Benefits / Payroll Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting our employees and ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll and benefits administration. This position serves as a key resource for employees while maintaining the integrity of HRIS data, payroll processing, and benefits operations. You will also contribute to a positive workplace culture through collaboration, communication, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

· Process end-to-end payroll using HR Butler / iSolved, ensuring accurate and timely compensation.

· Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, disability, and leave programs.

· Maintain and update HRIS records to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.

· Review and reconcile benefit-related invoices prior to submission to Accounts Payable.

· Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and compliance issues related to tax and labor regulations.

· Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.

· Support benefits enrollment, changes, and claims resolution.

· Assist with company events and employee engagement initiatives, including planning logistics and coordinating vendors.

Required Knowledge & Technical Skills

o Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, LOA/STD, and related employment regulations.

o Payroll processing, tax reporting, and compliance (Publication 15 – Circular E).

o PTO accrual calculations and leave administration.

o Benefits enrollment, billing reconciliation, and vendor coordination.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.

o Ability to analyze and improve payroll and benefits processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as HR Butler and iSolved.
  • Hands-on experience managing employee benefits programs, including retirement and wellness initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
