Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR data management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to organizational success through effective HR practices, leveraging advanced HRIS systems, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The Human Resources Specialist will be instrumental in supporting various HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee evaluation, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise HR/Benefits team in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR/Benefits department.
  • Assist in hiring, training and reviewing performance of HR/Benefits staff.
  • Serve as secondary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators with Director or HR/Benefits.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Oversee HRIS systems to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance providers.
  • Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, HIPAA regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Utilize data analysis skills for HR metrics reporting and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in human resources functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, or training & development.
  • Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across all levels of the organization.
  • Data collection and analysis skills to support HR decision-making processes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Degree in Human Management or related field, and three to five years of related employee benefits administration and supervisory experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
