HRSG & DD Erection Engineer

- A specialized technical professional responsible for overseeing the on-site installation, assembly, alignment, and initial testing of HRSG systems, which are crucial for energy recovery in combined cycle power plants. This role bridges the gap between design engineering and construction, ensuring that complex boiler, pressure part, and structural components are assembled safely, accurately, and according to engineering drawings and standards (such as ASME or IBR).

1. Site Supervision and Installation

• Supervise On-Site Assembly: Manage the erection of HRSG modules, pressure parts (tubes, drums), structural steel, ducting, and, if applicable, auxiliary boilers.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure all installation activities adhere to detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Alignment and Welding: Supervise the precise alignment of components and ensure that welding procedures and inspections meet safety codes (e.g., ASME Section 1 and B31.1).
• Lifting Plans: Develop or approve lifting plans for heavy, large-scale components, ensuring safe crane operations and rigging.

2. Project Planning and Coordination

• Erection Scheduling: Define, develop, and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitoring milestones to ensure timely project completion.
• Resource Management: Manage on-site personnel, subcontractors, and resources (equipment, materials) to ensure efficient workflow.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Act as the liaison between site teams, design teams, procurement, and vendors to resolve technical issues and secure necessary materials or drawings.

3. Quality Control (QA/QC) and Safety (HSE)

• HSE Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, preventing accidents and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Inspections and Testing: Conduct inspections, hydrostatic testing, and pre-commissioning checks on pressure parts, steam piping, and related equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of installation activities, non-conformity reports, and test results for final project handover.
