Position Overview : We are looing for HSE Officer that will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and organizational standards. This role involves conducting risk assessments, providing training, and promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Regulation:
  • Ensure that the company adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and stay updated on changes to legislation and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Management:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Training and Awareness:
  • Develop and deliver training programs on health, safety, and environmental issues for employees.
  • Promote awareness and adherence to safety practices and procedures.
  • Incident Investigation:
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to incidents and safety inspections.
  • Policy Development:
  • Create, review, and update health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that policies are effectively communicated and understood by all employees.
  • Environmental Management:
  • Monitor and manage environmental impact, including waste management, energy use, and pollution control.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and present reports on HSE performance and issues to management.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate HSE practices into daily operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HSE-related inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Relevant experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the industry in which the company operates.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, conduct risk assessments, and develop effective safety strategies.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
