HSE Manager

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans tailored to building construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project schedules and workflows.
  • Provide strategic leadership in promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Lead by example and actively engage with project teams to reinforce safety priorities.
  • Stay abreast of local and international HSE regulations applicable to building construction.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction activities and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks to personnel and property.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of HSE training programs for project personnel.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability on construction sites.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses and analyze root causes.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE activities, incident reports, and training records.
  • Generate regular reports for project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.
  • Conduct drills and exercises to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of HSE processes.
  • Work closely with third-party auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in HSE management within building construction projects.
  • Professional certifications related to HSE are highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture.
  • Proficient in using HSE software and tools.
