Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on construction and steel projects. The candidate must ensure implementation of HSE policies, risk assessments, site inspections, and compliance with UAE Civil Defense, OSHA, and local safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and prepare mitigation plans.
• Carry out regular site safety inspections, audits, and ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations.
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and training for workers and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety practices across site operations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and government authorities for HSE compliance and approvals.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, permits to work (PTW), and safety logs.
• Support implementation of fire safety, emergency response, and first aid procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Civil Defense, and Environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as HSE Officer in construction / steel fabrication / engineering projects in home country.
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA / Diploma in Safety Management (mandatory).
• Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE reporting.
• Good understanding of UAE Civil Defense, Municipality & Fire Safety regulations.
• Strong communication, observation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to enforce safety standards and build safety awareness at site.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
