HSE Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain all required HSE documentation (risk assessments, method statements, inspection reports, incident logs, PTWs).
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for workers and subcontractors.
• Report unsafe practices, unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE federal laws, Civil Defense, Municipality, and other regulatory authorities.
• Monitor permit-to-work systems and verify implementation of control measures.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to enforce HSE standards.
• Support emergency drills, evacuation planning, and first aid requirements.
• Ensure all PPE is available, compliant, and properly used by personnel.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE performance reports for management review.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• NEBOSH IGC (mandatory); additional HSE certifications are an advantage.
• 2–5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the UAE construction sector.
• Strong understanding of UAE HSE legislation, Civil Defense requirements, and construction safety protocols.
• Experience with incident reporting, risk assessments, and site audits.
