Job Summary

The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards. The role focuses on preventing accidents, promoting a safe working environment, and ensuring environmental protection across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and programs on site
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with local HSE laws, regulations, and international standards
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and root cause analyses
  • Conduct HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors
  • Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices
  • Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures
  • Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
