HSE Officer / Engineer (Healthcare Group)

We are a leading family-owned healthcare group in Abu Dhabi with 5 clinical facilities and a dedicated team of 500 employees. We are seeking a proactive Junior HSE Officer/Engineer to join our management team. This role is unique—you won’t just be ticking boxes; you will bridge the gap between technical facility management and clinical safety, ensuring our patients and staff operate in a world-class, risk-free environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and update the OSHMS (Occupational Safety and Health Management System) in accordance with OSHAD and Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi requirements.
• Clinical Safety: Monitor specialized healthcare risks, including medical gas safety, radiation protection (CT/X-ray areas), and hazardous waste (biomedical) disposal.
• Facility Management (FM) Liaison: Conduct weekly safety rounds across all 5 facilities, focusing on fire life safety (civil defense compliance), HVAC/HEPA filter maintenance schedules, and electrical safety.
• Training & Drills: Organize and lead emergency evacuation drills, fire safety training, and needle-stick injury prevention workshops for clinical staff.
• Incident Investigation: Lead the "Root Cause Analysis" for any facility-related near-misses or accidents, providing actionable reports to the CMO/CEO.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or Environmental Science.
• Certification: NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) is mandatory.
• OSHAD Registration: Preference will be given to candidates already registered as OSHAD Grade B or C Practitioners.
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience. While construction experience is valued, previous experience in a Healthcare or Hospitality setting is a significant advantage.
• Skills: Strong command of English; ability to write technical safety reports; proficient in MS Office. A UAE Driver’s License is essential as the role requires travel between facilities.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
