HSE Officer – Power Plant / Industrial Project

Our client, a leading construction company in Qatar, is looking for a highly motivated HSE Officer with solid experience in high-risk construction activities such as excavation, lifting operations, formwork, and scaffolding, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with international safety standards and best practices.

• Job Title: HSE Officer
• Work Location: Wakrah & Raslalffan
• Employment Type: Full-time, 1-Year Contract (Extendable)
• Working Days: Saturday to Thursday
• Working Hours: 10 hours per day
• Monthly Salary: QAR 4,000 - QAR 5,000 (all inclusive)

We are hiring a dedicated and proactive HSE Officer for ongoing industrial and construction projects in Al Wakrah and Ras Laffan.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in site safety management, high-risk activities, and Permit-to-Work systems, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, or power plant environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce company and project HSE policies and procedures
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Monitor safety during excavation, structural, and mechanical works
• Supervise lifting operations, cranes, and heavy equipment activities
• Ensure compliance for confined space, hot work, and work at height
• Manage and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions
• Investigate incidents and prepare safety reports
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer
• Experience in industrial construction / oil & gas / power plant projects
• NEBOSH IGC Certification (Mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of:
• PTW systems
• Excavation, lifting, and scaffolding safety
• High-risk activities
• Good communication and reporting skills

Preferred

• Experience in Ras Laffan / industrial projects
• Additional certifications (IOSH, OSHA, H2S, Confined Space)
• GCC experience is an advantage
