HSE Officer – Stainless Steel / Metal Factory

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to join our stainless steel and metal manufacturing factory in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing workplace risks across all factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices across the factory
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments (HIRA / JSA)
• Identify hazards related to welding, cutting, grinding, machinery, hot works, and material handling
• Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi regulations, industry standards, and internal HSE requirements
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective/preventive actions
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE awareness training for workers and supervisors
• Monitor the use of PPE and enforce safe work practices
• Coordinate fire safety, emergency response drills, and first aid arrangements
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation
• Liaise with management, auditors, and external stakeholders when required

Mandatory Requirements

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
• Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in a metal, stainless steel, or industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of:
• Risk assessments & Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Fire safety & emergency response
• Machinery and workshop safety
• Good command of English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Ability to work independently within a factory environment

Preferred / Added Advantage

• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• First Aid certification
• ISO 45001 (OHSMS) awareness or internal auditor training
• Experience in hot works permits, confined space safety, and PTW systems
• Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC
