Compliance & Enforcement:Ensure all site activities comply with local Saudi Arabian environmental laws, safety regulations, and international standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).
Hazard Management:Conduct regular inspections of wastewater treatment facilities, chemical storage areas, and confined spaces to identify and mitigate risks.
Risk Assessment:Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses for routine and non-routine work, including maintenance and contractor activities.
Permit-to-Work (PTW):Manage and supervise the permit-to-work system, particularly for high-risk activities like confined space entry, hot work, and chemical handling.
Incident Investigation:Lead investigations for accidents, near misses, and environmental spills, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Safety Systems:Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems, ensuring all documentation (risk assessments, procedures, MSDS) is updated and accessible.
Training & Drills:Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills (e.g., evacuation, spill response) for staff and contractors.
Reporting:Prepare and submit monthly HSE performance reports to management, tracking KPIs and safety statistics.
Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in an industrial environment, specifically withinwastewater treatment, pumping stations, or similar process plants.
Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, OSHA) is mandatory.
Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.
Experience with Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferable.
Strong knowledge of chemical and biohazardous material handling.
