Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the HSE team to the overall administration and implementation of HSE Initiatives, programs and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of operational risk assessments to help in identifying & mitigating hazards for critical activities.
- Conduct Behavioural Safety Audits (BSA) and high profile tours as per HSEMS guidelines.
- Carryout or arrange workplace HSE inspections and audits and ensure that any remedial recommendations are implemented.
- Audit subcontractors for compliance with HSE systems and procedures.
- Maintain accident statistics, analyse trends and propose and take remedial actions where necessary.
- Ensure that company HSE policies, procedures, regulations and objectives are effectively implemented.
- Foster continuous improvement of existing HSE Management Systems through sharing of best practices.
- Monitor HSE Performance of Subcontractors and ensure contractual and other relevant requirements are satisfied adequately.
- Assist with investigation of accidents, incidents (including 'near misses') and dangerous occurrences and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and manage HSE awareness campaigns.
- Ensure that all critical activities are risk assessed, and control measures are applied before execution.
- Manage activities undertaken by subordinates.
- Identify HSE training needs for subordinates.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all laws surrounding construction safety, develops and implements policies, procedures and other company-wide safety standards.
- Establishment, implementation and improvement of the HSE Management Plan, Company's HSE policy requirement, HSE Policies, performance standards, objectives and targets.
- Setting up project HSE programs and procedures including training and audit programs to ensure they meet project HSE goals and objectives and preparing and implementing remedial/improvement initiatives to address areas of inadequacy.
- Management of all HSE support functions, including recruitment and HSE training.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Or Mechanical Engineering/Safety Engineering
- A candidate must have experience of 10-12 years in Safety , in oil & Gas Process Plant / Cross country Pipeline Projects/Shut down and turnaround
- Person should be OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
- Must be a NEBOSH holder or OSHA trained.
Minimum Experience
10-12 years of experience in HSE especially from oil and gas sector Shutdown /Turnaround.
Saudi / Gulf experience will be preference.
