Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the project HSSE Management System.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses and issue detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Plan and deliver HSSE training programs, toolbox talks, and site inductions for all personnel.
  • Monitor environmental impacts and enforce pollution prevention and waste management measures.
  • Oversee site security, access control, and emergency response planning.
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly HSSE reports for management and client.
  • Act as the main HSSE point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and enforce HSSE compliance among subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate or Diploma (required).
  • ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 certification (an advantage).
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of HSSE experience in construction or heavy industry.
  • Native or bilingual English.
  • At least 3 years in a senior HSSE management position.
  • International project experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Chinese contractors or state-owned enterprises is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, report writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote or challenging project environments.
