HT Hackney Buyer

Overview
HT Hackney is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and products necessary for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and procurement strategies. The Buyer will collaborate with various departments to optimize purchasing decisions and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Duties

• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to purchasing, ensuring alignment with company goals and budget constraints.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contract terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory management strategies to minimize excess stock and stockouts.
• Analyze market trends and pricing data to inform sourcing decisions and enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications within the AS400 system.
• Support production planning by coordinating with merchandising teams to align purchasing activities with demand forecasts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of materials management, MRP processes, and inventory control techniques.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their integration into supply chain operations is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to pricing, contracts, and market trends.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
