HubSpot Website Designer / Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative HubSpot Website Designer / Manager to lead the development, design, and ongoing management of our website within the HubSpot platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital and web design, interaction design, and web development, with a focus on creating engaging, user-friendly, and accessible websites. This role involves collaborating with marketing and technical teams to ensure our website aligns with brand goals, enhances user experience, and supports digital marketing initiatives. Experience with content management systems, analytics tools, and responsive web design is essential to succeed in this position. The project pays $500 upon launch and preped for employee or equity offers.

Responsibilities

• Design visually compelling and highly functional websites using HubSpot CMS, incorporating best practices in UX/UI, usability, and web accessibility.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs utilizing tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, or Balsamiq to communicate concepts effectively.
• Implement front-end development tasks including HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript (Angular, React), PHP, Bootstrap, and Node.js to customize website features and functionalities.
• Manage website content updates and maintenance within HubSpot CMS and WordPress platforms ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Optimize websites for SEO using strategies aligned with Google Analytics 360 and other analytics tools; monitor performance through web analytics to inform improvements.
• Create motion graphics and visual content using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate (Flash), and Adobe Creative Suite to enhance user engagement.
• Conduct user research to improve usability and user experience; apply information architecture principles for intuitive navigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on digital marketing campaigns including email marketing via Mailchimp or similar platforms.
• Ensure websites are responsive across devices by applying responsive web design techniques using Bootstrap or similar frameworks.
• Maintain documentation of website architecture, code repositories (Git), and project workflows; utilize version control systems effectively.
• Stay current with emerging trends in web design, development technologies (React Express, AJAX), and digital marketing strategies to continuously improve website performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in web design and development within CMS platforms such as HubSpot CMS, WordPress, or Drupal.
• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), PHP, MySQL/SQL databases.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe XD, Figma, Axure for wireframing and visual design.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles focusing on usability and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with SEO best practices and web analytics tools like Google Analytics 360 or Adobe Analytics.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools including email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or SharePoint integrations.
• Ability to perform website maintenance tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality standards.
• Strong data analysis skills to interpret website metrics for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience working with front-end technologies such as Bootstrap or LESS/SASS stylesheets; knowledge of React or Node.js is a plus.
