Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
• Plan and execute route driving to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency and safety.
• Handle freight securely during transit to prevent damage or loss, adhering to proper load securing procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and other required documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-B license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
• Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment; experience with roll-off trucks is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation operations.
• Ability to operate different types of trucks
• Strong route planning skills with an emphasis on efficiency and punctuality.
