Position Overview

The Human Experience Specialist is a people-centered role responsible for recruitment, employee experience, and HR support across the company. This position goes beyond traditional HR by focusing not only on compliance and hiring, but also on building a positive and supportive workplace culture where employees can thrive.

This role requires someone with strong HR knowledge, proven experience in recruiting for the construction industry, and a passion for supporting people from onboarding to career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment efforts for construction professionals, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop pipelines for skilled trades, project managers, and administrative roles within the construction industry.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related needs.
  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Promote company culture, employee engagement, and team-building activities.
  • Assist leadership in developing policies that align with company mission and employee well-being.
  • Partner with management to ensure staffing needs align with project schedules.
  • Provide guidance on performance, workplace issues, and employee development.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience, including at least 1–2 years of hiring experience in the construction industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred; SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, compliance, and employment law.
  • Proven ability to recruit and hire in the construction/trades industry.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, approachable, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a passion for people and workplace culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.97 - $25.46 per hour
