The Human Generalist supports the HR team in providing comprehensive HR service to managers and staff within the organization.

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Human Generalist reports directly to the HR Manager and interacts with all levels of Hilite employees.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Supporting the operational shifts as required. There may be times where working hours are shifted to accommodate investigations, events, or meetings.

Responsible for the preparation and onboarding of employees including orientation of full time and temporary employees.

Update internal databases, HRIS systems, and/or spreadsheets.

Prepare new hire offers of employment.

Liaise with external partners such as temporary / recruiting agencies, insurance vendors, etc.

Timely and accurate responses to employee questions about HR-related issues.

Participate in HR projects.
-
Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to company policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations

Cross trained to collaborate with the Sr. Human Resources Generalist and Payroll Administrator and assist as needed.

Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is divided up evenly between time spent sitting in the office, standing on the floor and walking between the two. The office is a general office environment with adequate temperature and lighting. Standard office equipment is available. The time spent on the plant floor there is a high chance of coming in contact with oils and other fluids used plant wide. This job also requires maintaining manufacturing equipment making it is inevitable to come in contact with the fluids. Wearing hearing protection and safety glasses on the plant floor is required at all times.
