Job Description
The Human Performance Coordinator (HPC) serves as the senior on-site lead responsible for the design, development, authorship, and oversight of all human-performance curriculum delivered to Basic Agent Trainees (BATs) and workshop participants. The HPC ensures that instructional content, testing protocols, performance modules, and mobile-app learning materials meet all requirements. This position manages day-to-day program execution, supervises Human Performance Specialists, and ensures all curriculum and supporting materials are current, evidence-based, and aligned with OT objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design & Development
- Designs, authors, and develops all human-performance curriculum across the five pillars (resilience, stress mitigation, sleep, nutrition, strength & conditioning).
- Creates structured lesson plans, instructional modules, slide decks, handouts, and facilitator guides for all BAT training blocks, workshops, and mobile-app learning activities.
- Develops and maintains the full curriculum lifecycle, including planning, writing, reviewing, updating, and implementing course content.
- Ensures all curriculum is evidence-based, aligned with tactical human-performance standards, and compliant with training doctrine.
- Integrates curriculum with technical platforms, including mobile applications and readiness dashboards, ensuring consistency across all delivery methods.
- Develops performance-based learning objectives and assessment mechanisms to measure trainee comprehension, progress, and readiness.
Program Management & Instructional Oversight
- Oversees execution of human-performance training for all BAT classes throughout the academy cycle.
- Supervises Human Performance Specialists and ensures consistent delivery of curriculum-aligned instruction.
- Coordinates development and delivery of workshops nationwide (up to 25 annually), ensuring curriculum alignment.
- Ensures content accuracy for resilience, nutrition, physical performance, mental skills, recovery, sleep science, and injury-prevention topics.
- Conducts curriculum reviews with leadership and recommends updates based on performance data and emerging research.
Assessment, Testing & Analytics Integration
- Develops and refines testing protocols, screening procedures, and assessment rubrics to align with requirements.
- Ensures baseline and re-test procedures reflect the curriculum and performance goals.
- Aligns lesson sequencing and training blocks with PTT cycles, conditioning sessions, and remediation schedules.
- Supports analytics development by ensuring curriculum outcomes map to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting metrics.
Leadership Engagement
- Briefs leadership during biweekly meetings on curriculum effectiveness, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provides subject-matter expertise to refine program direction and instructional strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, human performance, or related field.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) – mandatory.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience designing or delivering curriculum for performance-oriented adult education programs.
- Experience developing instructional materials, learning modules, and performance-based testing frameworks.
- Expertise in biomechanics, conditioning, injury prevention, mental skills, and holistic human performance.
- Ability to integrate curriculum into mobile applications and digital learning environments.
- U.S. citizen with the ability to meet SBU background requirements.
Pay: $56,290.32 - $76,800.00 per year
