WHAT DO WE DO?
Forward Logistics is an intrastate and interstate motor carrier specializing in Loose Cargo Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Full Trailer Load (FTL), oversized cargo, and special project cargo delivery. In human words, we move cargo from point A to point B on the road with a truck.
ARE YOU ONE OF US?
This position belongs to the Admin Team and reports to the Compliance Manager. The Human Resource & Compliance Assistant will work with others both within and outside the organization from recruitment to time & attendance, training, employee benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Requirements:
Human Resource
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Provide employee training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.
- Arrange for posting of job vacancies and notify eligible staff of position availability.
- Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
- Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs.
- Advise management on compliance matters, changes, and updates as they occur.
- Assisting with and preparing and filing compliance reports as required.
Compliance
- Implement compliance and record-keeping protocols concerning time sheet, hours of service, driver qualification, etc.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Support customers and staff with timely response to information requests.
- Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
- Generate routine and specialized reports as needed.
General Policies and Procedures
- Perform necessary research to come up with solutions on HR & compliance issues.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- No prior Human Resource / Compliance experience is required.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin) a must.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Solid communication, listening, and writing skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- High school graduate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
