Duties:

  • Sources and recruits’ candidates using databases, job boards, social media, etc.
  • Screens candidates and facilitates interview and hiring process
  • Conduct pre-employment and background screening
  • Supports facility onboarding and orientation programs
  • Develops strong working relationships with facility managers and trains/coaches on employee management/development/retention
  • Creates and maintains all employee files and assures all files are complete per state requirements
  • Manages payroll process
  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices
  • Manage Leave of Absence requests and processing
  • Address and resolve employee complaints

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of HR, AP and Payroll experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to work well independently AND collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department in supporting the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of employees. The Human Resources Coordinator will assist in the development of human resources policies and procedures, provide training to new and current employees, support employee relations through employee relations services, assist in employee database management, support recruitment and labor law compliance for Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation - Garland as needed, and participate in employee relations activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with new hire process including orientation, licensing and certification, as applicable.
  • Assist with onboarding of current team members.
  • Support recruitment and hiring process including interviewing, hiring processes, onboarding.
  • Assist with performance management processes including performance review and compliance check.
  • Support employee relations through customer service and training processes.
  • Participate in team-building activities and special projects as directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in human resources preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and best practices preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures required (phone system operation, filing system operation).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) with intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures required (phone system operation).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
